MASTER MAINTENANCE UTILITIES TECHNICIAN

at our Mechanicsburg, PA facility.

Starting Rate: $40.00 per hour

Description:

Provide complete electrical and mechanical maintenance support for the utilities systems in a high-speed bottling facility. Ensure that processing, filling, sterilizing, and packaging equipment are supplied with the necessary clean steam, water, compressed air, etc. Execute repair work orders and requests in a timely manner to ensure production needs are met. Perform the above tasks in a safe manner following safety and environmental regulations.

Shift:

Fulltime rotating 12-hour day shift (6am-6:30pm). Work three days one week, four days the next week. Off every other weekend.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain a 1,000 HP and two 800 HP boilers and back-up fuel oil system.

Maintain de-aerators, de-alkalizers, and water softeners

Maintain chemical feed systems for boiler water quality.

Conduct water quality tests for boiler water quality

Maintain and monitor four Trane chillers.

Maintain five evaporative cooling towers.

Conduct water quality tests for retort cooling water loop.

Maintain two Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems

Monitor utility’s chemical inventory to include ordering chemicals when needed.

Maintain three large air compressors

Provide immediate assistance to downtime situations.

Trouble-shoot equipment malfunctions and make repairs accordingly.

Ensure all repairs are documented.

Follows all DFA GMP’s, cleans work areas upon completing a project and works in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

Perform other tasks and jobs as necessary.

Requirements

Education and Experience

§High School/GED, Technical/Military/College a plus.

§Experience working with processing, bottling, canning, packaging equipment, or related field is preferred.

§Minimum 3 years of skilled industrial maintenance experience.

§Experience in plant utilities is strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of, and ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Experience with CMMS programs

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and company computer system

Able to read, write, and speak English
