12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts/week

Medical/Surgical Unit (Med Surg 5, 38 beds, average census 33)
Patient Ratio:
1:6
Scrub Color:
Navy Blue
Weekend Requirement:
Every other weekend
Floating:
Yes, to similar Med/Surg units as needed
Charting System:
Epic (required)
Estimated Weekly Salary:
$1570–$1610 per week
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Georgia RN license or Compact state nursing license (required at time of application)
Minimum 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical RN experience
BLS certification (required)
Proficiency with Epic charting system
Experience caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
Ability to float to similar Med/Surg units
Availability to work every other weekend and major holidays
Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Two supervisory references (manager or above) highly preferred
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with diverse medical and surgical conditions
Monitor and manage patients with remote telemetry
Administer medications, blood products, and perform central line and peripheral IV care
Document patient care using Epic and communicate effectively using SBAR
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, etc.)
Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed
Maintain infection control and isolation precautions
Support patient and family education, including discharge planning
Float to other Medical/Surgical units as required
