Job DescriptionJob DescriptionGreat Manufacturing Shop in Catoosa Seeking Experienced Welders Job Description: Performed MIG and Flux Core welding on heavy plate components in a production environment, following strict specifications and welding procedures. Responsible for producing structurally sound welds using 5G positioning, with work subject to visual inspection and quality control standards. Key Responsibilities:
Executed MIG and Flux Core welding processes (“hot welding”) on steel plate in a 5G position, ensuring proper penetration and bead profile.
Interpreted blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions to meet exact job requirements.
Passed a 5G MIG/Flux weld test on plate, with all welds undergoing visual inspection for quality assurance.
Set up and adjusted welding equipment, wire feed speed, voltage, and gas flow for optimal performance.
Inspected materials and prepped weld joints by grinding, beveling, or cleaning surfaces as needed.
Maintained proper weld parameters and followed WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications).
Conducted visual inspections of welds to ensure compliance with internal and customer standards.
Worked closely with fabrication and quality teams to resolve any discrepancies or defects.
Followed all company safety procedures, including use of PPE, welding hoods, and fume extraction equipment.
Skills Used:
MIG (GMAW) and Flux Core (FCAW) welding techniques
5G weld position proficiency
Visual weld inspection standards
Blueprint and WPS interpretation
Grinder and torch operation
Fabrication safety and best practices
Pay:
$23-25/HR
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 6am – 4pm with some Saturdays as needed
