Location

Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.

Job Summary

The Housing Resource Community Officer's job involves monitoring student housing areas and assisting the Area Coordinators and Hall Managers with identifying the resident status for everyone entering the building during their work hours.

Daily shift of Operation:

Monday - Friday: 12AM - 8AM (Graveyard Shift)

Responsibilities

Access Control:

Monitor access to residential building(s), verifying identification and ensuring only authorized personnel are allowed entry.

Security Checks:

Conduct routine security checks of buildings, looking for potential hazards, unauthorized activity, or signs of trouble.

Incident Response:

Respond to security incidents, such as alarms, emergencies, or suspicious activity, following established protocols (calling ASU PD).

Reporting:

Document security incidents, observations, and any unusual occurrences, and report them to supervisors or relevant authorities.

Communication:

Maintain communication with residential professional staff, and other security personnel, providing assistance and information as needed via Maxient Report.

Customer Service:

Provide a friendly and helpful presence, assisting residents with questions or concerns related to security and safety.

Emergency Response:

Assist with emergency response efforts, such as evacuations or medical emergencies, following established procedures.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a university or educational environment.

Prior experience working in a similar role is preferred.

Proposed Salary

Salary range is from $20,784 to $30,000.
