Work With Us
At Liquid, we're not just building AI models-we're redefining the architecture of intelligence itself. Spun out of MIT, our mission is to build efficient AI systems at every scale. Our Liquid Foundation Models (LFMs) operate where others can't: on-device, at the edge, under real-time constraints. We're not iterating on old ideas-we're architecting what comes next.
We believe great talent powers great technology. The Liquid team is a community of world-class engineers, researchers, and builders creating the next generation of AI. Whether you're helping shape model architectures, scaling our dev platforms, or enabling enterprise deployments-your work will directly shape the frontier of intelligent systems.
While San Francisco and Boston are preferred, we are open to other locations in United States.
This Role Is For You If: You thrive on bringing technical depth and design precision together in your work. You care deeply about performance, accessibility, and user experience. You think in systems - building components that scale, not just pages that work. You're energized by translating complex ML capabilities into elegant, usable products. You balance polish and pragmatism - knowing when to prototype and when to perfect. Desired Experience: Strong proficiency with
TypeScript, React,
and modern frontend tooling (Vite, Next.js, etc.) Experience designing and implementing
modular UI architectures
and
design systems Deep understanding of
state management, API integration, and performance optimization Experience working closely with backend and ML teams to bring complex data and functionality to life A product-focused mindset - empathy for users, attention to interaction detail, and a bias for clarity What You'll Actually Do: Architect and build
front-end systems
for internal and external Liquid products Create intuitive
interfaces
that make advanced ML systems accessible and actionable Collaborate with backend, product, and research teams to design seamless data flows Develop
high-performance, scalable UIs
that run smoothly across browsers and devices Contribute to the evolution of our
design system
and front-end best practices Help define the technical standards and workflows for Liquid's front-end development culture What You'll Gain: The opportunity to define how advanced AI systems are
experienced and interacted with Deep collaboration with world-class ML researchers and platform engineers Influence over critical product and UX decisions shaping Liquid's next-generation tools A chance to build front-end systems at a
true greenfield stage
- no legacy, just possibility About Liquid AI
Spun out of MIT CSAIL, we're a foundation model company headquartered in Boston. Our mission is to build capable and efficient general-purpose AI systems at every scale-from phones and vehicles to enterprise servers and embedded chips. Our models are designed to run where others stall: on CPUs, with low latency, minimal memory, and maximum reliability. We're already partnering with global enterprises across consumer electronics, automotive, life sciences, and financial services. And we're just getting started.
