Meals on Wheels Delivery Driver in Southwest Florida!

Our Meals on Wheels program is seeking dedicated volunteers to deliver meals to homebound seniors in Southwest Florida. Volunteers play a crucial role that extends beyond meal delivery; they often represent the only personal interaction our recipients have throughout the day. Through their warm demeanor and compassionate care, volunteers provide not only nourishment but also a vital safety check to ensure the well-being of our recipients. They serve as the eyes and ears of Meals on Wheels clients, frequently identifying additional needs among those they serve. We strive to accommodate volunteers' schedules by assigning service locations near their homes or offices. We are always looking for dependable drivers who are willing to donate 1- 3 hours of time once a week. Responsibilities: Pick up meals from a designated location near the route Follow the route to deliver meals to clients Communicate concerns and client updates with the Meals on Wheels office Private Group Details: Group Size Range: 1 - 5 Event can be held at a volunteer group location (e.g. office, park) Event can be held at organization location(s) No Donation 1 shift available: 09:30 to 11:30 EST
