Southwest Family Guidance Center is Seeking passionate and dedicated Infant mental health therapist (CPP) to join our mission of healing and hope. This is a unique opportunity to impact the developmental and emotional well-being of young children strengthening the parent-child relationship using a relational, system-based approach.
As an Infant mental health therapist, you will provide attachment-focused therapeutic services to children ages 0-5 and their caregivers. Working through the lens of early childhood development and trauma-informed care, you'll help families navigate emotional regulations promote secure attachment and interpret patterns of generational trauma. Our approach integrates family therapy, reflective supervision, and evidence-based practices including Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP).
What You'll Do:
Deliver therapeutic services that support and repair the parent-child relationship
Provide family-centered care with a strong emphasis on emotional attunement and relational health
Collaborate with reflective supervisors, a statewide consultant, and a multidisciplinary team of professionals
Maintain a balanced caseload that includes home-based and office-based
Facilitate engaging, strengths-based parenting groups
Complete documentation and treatment plans that highlight each family's growth and progress
Who We're Looking For:
We Welcome early-career therapists as well as those with hands on backgrounds in OT, PT, or diagnostic settings. The ideal candidate brings an understanding of human and child development, core competencies, and a deep commitment to relational healing. Initial hands-on training will be provided, with additional learning taking place through on-the-job experience. Regular clinical supervision is available, though the role requires a high degree of independence and initiative. This position is well-suited for clinicians who are comfortable balancing autonomy with ongoing professional development.
Minimum Requirements:
Active New Mexico licensure (LMHC, LMFT, LMSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC, LCSE, etc)
Strong cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse family systems
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaboration team environment
Willingness to grow professionally and engage in reflective supervision
Preferred:
Rostered in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) or eligible for becoming rostered
