Crestview Aerospace is a manufacturing organization working closely with large aircraft and weapon systems OEMs, such as Boeing Defense, Bell, RTX/Collins Aerospace, Northrop Grumman and several others to deliver complex design-to-build and build-to print assemblies. Crestview Aerospace provides these assemblies in support of in-service platforms, such as: H-47, V-22, F-35, F-15, F-16, F-18, KC-135, E-2, and weapon systems such as Harpoon and SLAM-ER. Crestview Aerospace is comprised of two (2) manufacturing sites, with operations in St. Louis, Missouri and Crestview, FL, and employs approximately 300 professionals.
Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Develop and industrialize the special process for aerospace components, including the design of the manufacturing sequence and work instructions, the definition of process parameters and the selection of the appropriate equipment
Design inspection methods, sampling plan and applicable process control methodologies, including applicable tests and coupon design
Support the shop activities in the development phase of the process, by training the operators on the correct interpretation of the work instruction and tuning the process
Get input from the Business in terms of a problem involving inadequate values of FTY, WIP, cost, lead time or machinery saturation of a stated product or product family
Identify, develop, evaluate, and introduce engineering solutions to meet near-term and long-range engineering needs
Provide technical support to staff engineers, specialists, technicians and shop operators, providing the necessary training and maintaining the personnel qualification according to the specifics
Perform internal / external audits to guarantee surveillance on the accountable processes and verify RCCA and implementation plans
Be accountable for audits on specific processes
Effectively communicate and provide recommendations through the analysis, preparation and presentation of technical data to internal and external customers using reports, records, and letters
Professional Requirements, Qualifications & Desired Competencies:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials Science field) or equivalent technical degree/quality certification, or a minimum 5 years of Process Engineering experience, preferred.
Experience on special processes, in particular welding, heat treat, chemical processing, primer application and NDT
Ability to communicate effectively and contribute to team projects. Ability to interface with customers for major issues
Desired Characteristics
Knowledge of Nadcap accreditation
Knowledge of Pyrometry preferred
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Problem analysis, RCCA analysis and continuous improvement skills

Work Environment:
Primarily works in a manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery and production equipment.
Requires standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of materials.
May involve occasional travel to suppliers or other company locations.

Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to maneuver up to 20 pounds. Will be performing substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
