Selectek is looking for Structural Detailers in Kansas City, MO. In this position, you will be responsible for building structural steel construction models and creating parts, fabrication, and installation drawings for large manufacturing plants. Structural plate and mild steel drafting and detailing experience is preferred. AutoCAD is required but Tekla is preferred.Â
Required: Â
Associate or 2-year technical degree OR 2 additional years of relevant experience Proficient in Algebra and Trigonometry PC competence (Including Excel, Word and PowerPoint) Listening Action oriented Functional and technical skills Customer focused mindset, Integrity and trust
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree Some Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) or conventional steel experience CAD training (preferred only) Job Details:Â
Detail building parts and create fab drawings from engineering design and project note Create erection drawings, approval drawings, permit drawings, and anchor rod drawings Develops own basic product and procedure knowledge and improves technical knowledge Uploads parts and edit parts into the manufacturing system and releases to manufacturing Collaborates with project teams to discuss problems and challenges and help create solutions to move forward in a cost effective and efficient manner Assures customer service needs are met by meeting schedules Focuses on achieving department objective and profitability goals and continuous improvement as part of a high-performance work team
Sponsorship: No Pay:  $21.73/hour - $25.48/hour Term of Assignment: 6 months contract to direct Salary when direct:  $45,200 - $53,000 (or so) is the preferred range when direct. Open to higher if they have the experience.  Location: Kansas City, MO Hours and Shift: Core hours are 9-3, usually work 8-4 with flex time. WFH/remote:  could be possible down the road Overtime:  Yes, it is possible  Travel:  No  Work Attire: Business casual Does the client require a background check and drug screen?
