Manual Machinist (Temp-to-Hire)

Pay:
Commensurate to experience - Max $40.00/ hr
Shift:
2pm-10pm
M-F
(must be available for nights and weekends if needed)
We are currently hiring a Manual Machinist with experience on vertical pumps and horizontal pumps
Experience: Must be able to operate manual HBM, Engine Lathes, VTLs, Knee Mills, and Radial Drills. Brand should not be a factor. If interested please email your resume to [email protected] or text 281-282-1300 put MM in the subject.
Responsibilities: Set up and operate manual machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders to fabricate metal parts according to specifications Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or other technical drawings to determine machining operations Perform precision measurements using tools such as bore gauges and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet production targets Maintain a clean and organized work area Skills:
Proficient in manual machining techniques, including turning, milling, and grinding Knowledge of tooling selection and setup for different machining operations Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and practices Experience working with plastics injection molding is a plus Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools Familiarity with Fanuc controls is preferred Must pass background check and drug screen.
