The
Project Manager New Construction & Remodel
will serve as a critical link between engineering design and project execution for commercial HVAC systems. This role works closely with building engineers, internal project teams, and external partners to guide HVAC system design, ensure constructability, and develop accurate project bids. In this role, it will play a key role in preconstruction planning and technical support throughout the design-build lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with commercial building engineers and architects to design HVAC system layouts that meet performance, efficiency, and budget targets
Translate design specifications into actionable project scopes for remodeling or new construction work
Analyze mechanical drawings and specifications to support system design and recommend value engineering options
Assist in the preparation of detailed bids, proposals, takeoffs, and cost estimates for HVAC projects
Provide technical guidance on materials, equipment, codes, and installation best practices
Coordinate with procurement, construction, and field operations to validate build feasibility and installation timelines
Participate in site walks, pre-bid meetings, and project kickoffs to assess field conditions and identify potential risks or redesign needs
Liaise with subcontractors, vendors, and clients during the bidding and early planning phases
Support project managers and field teams during construction with design clarifications or scope changes
Stay current with mechanical codes, energy standards, and HVAC technologies to ensure system designs remain compliant and competitive
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
5+ years of experience in HVAC design, construction, or estimating (commercial or industrial projects )
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical codes, and blueprint reading
Experience developing project bids, takeoffs, and scopes of work
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or HVAC design software is a plus
Mechanical or Construction Management background (degree or trade certification)
Nice to Have:
Experience in design-build or remodeling environments
Knowledge of construction scheduling, permitting, and contractor management
Familiarity with design value engineering and lifecycle cost analysis
