The Work You Will Do:

Supervisor, Statewide Programs/Office of Work Program and Budget/Work Program Development & Operations

This position plays a critical role in advancing the Florida Department of Transportation's mission by overseeing the development, monitoring, and coordination of key statewide transportation programs, including the Strategic Intermodal System (SIS), Rest Areas, Weigh Stations, Tolls, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), and Public Transportation Operations. This position ensures that these programs are developed in compliance with federal and state regulations, financially balanced within the Work Program, and aligned with departmental goals and priorities.

Annual Salary Range: $97,375.47 - $115,000.00

Your Specific Responsibilities:

Supervise staff engaged in matters relating to the development of the SIS, Rest Areas, Weigh Stations, Tolls, SIB, ITS, Planning, Statewide Bridge, Safety and Public Transportation Operations programs. Monitor programs to ensure consistency between budget and the Central Office/District's Work Programs and ensure all funds are balanced. Review, analyze and conduct a review of programs on a bi-weekly basis. Provide technical advice in programming and the verification of all data elements and segments of the Work Program.

Supervise staff engaged in ensuring the Work Program is developed in compliance with Department, State and Federal laws, regulations, policies and Work Program Instructions. Recommend necessary action to correct any area of non-compliance. Supervises staff engaged in reviewing and analyze all proposed modifications and amendments to the Work Program and develops recommendations for approval or rejection. Supervise staff engaged in monitoring, development, management and implementation of the programs to ensure consistency with program plan, priorities, objectives and production schedules to minimize negative impacts to the program. Supervise staff engaged in coordinating with financial planning elements of the Department to ensure the program is developed to sound financial strategies and is supported by cash flow and financial analysis. Supervise staff engaged in assisting in training the Districts on Work Program matters, and provide written recommendations for modifications of the Work Program Instructions. Supervise staff engaged in assisting in the oversight of the development process for other major transportation programs contained in the Work Program. Supervise staff engaged in assisting in analyzing existing and proposed legislation relating to the Work Program.
