Create customized treatment plans targeting immediate and long-range communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver personalized speech therapy that prioritizes communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to provide holistic care. Educate patients and their families to support progress beyond the therapy sessions. Support inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions when necessary to ensure a seamless treatment journey. Maintain precise and prompt documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines. Engage in ongoing professional development, keeping current in methodologies and practices in the field. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized university. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending. Certifications
State licensure as a
Speech Language Pathologist . ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment. Skills
