The Jail Treatment Program Counselor position offers mental health and addiction services to adults within the Lake County Adult Detention Facility. This position is responsible for completing diagnostic assessments, running an intensive outpatient group, individual counseling, and discharge planning services as well as service coordination with the courts and probation departments who refer clients to the program. This provider will engage as a member of a collaborative team. With a Trauma Informed approach, this position will be a representative for the organization and how we offer integrated services for recovery and mental health.
Education: • Bachelor's Degree in Human services (required) • Master's Degree in Human Services/Addiction/Social Work/Mental Health (preferred) Experience: • Two (2) to three (3) years of experience working with mental health and addiction (preferred) • Two (2) to three (3) years of experience working with an incarcerated population (preferred) Licensure/Certifications: • Licensed in the State of Ohio with (LPC/LSW, LPCC/LISW) • State of Ohio Chemical Dependency Credential: CDCA I, CDCA II, LCDC II, LCDC III, LICDC, LICDC-CS • BLS/Fist Aid (as applicable, company provided)
