Responsibilities
The Grants Compliance Associate is responsible for assisting Grants Specialists with the administration of contracts and grants in the Physics Department. In this role, you will:
Serve as the primary point of contact for grant-related purchasing for the department. This includes initiating and submitting Spearmart/ AUX requisitions, and P-card purchases. Assist Grants Specialists in reconciling monthly financial reports, completing special reports, and developing re-budgeting documents for contract and grant activities. Assist Grants Specialists with various phases of contract and grant pre-award activities. This includes proposal development, interpreting grant announcements, and ensuring compliance with guidelines, requirements, and deadlines. Assist the Travel Representative for the Department on travel authorizations and reimbursements by communicating the Principal Investigator (PI)'s plan and anticipated needs. Review and interpret Federal, State, and local agency awards, guidelines, and policies for compliance. The Grants team plays a critical role in the success of the Physics Department, ensuring funds are available and used appropriately for the Department's research efforts. By serving in this position, you will contribute directly to the success of the academic teaching and research efforts at Florida State University.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience. (Note: post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)
This position requires successful completion of the eSPEAR Certification or the ability to obtain the certification within 6 months of hire.

Anticipated Salary Range
The minimum salary for the position is in the mid-$30,000s. Anticipated starting salary will be offered commensurate with experience and qualifications.
