Paid Search Specialist
to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 12-month contract, working a hybrid schedule in Culver City, CA.
Paid Search Specialist Qualifications: BS/BA degree required 4+ years of experience in a paid search marketing role, either agency or client-side Experience defining and measuring short- and long-term marketing success across paid search Strong passion for data storytelling Familiarity with paid search self-service platforms (i.e. Google Ads, SA360, Marin, Skai/ Kenshoo, Microsoft Ad Center) Solid understanding of the principles of PPC campaigns, digital marketing, and web analytics (familiarity with SEO and other digital media channels like programmatic and paid social) Expert level understanding of marketing attribution & alternative measurement methodologies Ability to build strategic bespoke plans to reach target audiences and deliver media objectives Strong data analyzation, visualization and presentation skills; understanding of how to tailor communications to stakeholders with various levels of digital media literacy Proven expertise and a dedication to continued education of the comprehensive landscape of paid search platforms and ad types Proven ability to build close relationships within and across teams A passion and curiosity for digital media Excellent social, oral and written communication skills Google Ads Certification a plus Paid Search Specialist Description:
Plan, build, and manage paid search PPC (pay-per-click) campaigns in self service SEM platforms (Google, Bing, and other search engines) Along with campaign planning and setup in platform, continually find ways to improve performance efficiency through ongoing optimization Focus on in-depth analysis, leading to actionable insights, trend spotting, strategic pacing, and performance optimization of the paid search channel Work hand-in-hand with digital marketing strategy, ad ops, analytics, and measurement teams to deliver end-to-end execution and performance management of paid search campaigns Manage day-to-day of search engine marketing (SEM) campaigns for multiple subscription-based lines of businesses, including development of campaign strategies, initial campaign setup, in-market optimizations, tracking creative/copy needs, and delivering performance reporting Work hand-in-hand with counterpart channel specialists, marketing strategists, internal creative teams, measurement, analytics and marketing stakeholder teams to deliver end-to-end execution and performance management of paid search campaigns Actively manage and optimize paid search marketing campaigns, with primary responsibility for several lines of business Generate keyword builds and analyze search query reports for new opportunities Craft performance-optimized ad copy, analyzing landing page experiences and conversion funnels, making enhancements where possible Work with the data and operations team and manage trafficking and tagging of campaigns to best track performance Review campaign structure and performance both within search management platforms (i.e. Google Ads, SA360, Microsoft Ad Center, Marin, Skai/Kenshoo) and via internal reporting dashboards Manage campaign budget trackers, focusing on staying on budget and appropriately forecasting quarterly costs and reconciling any discrepancies Demonstrate clear and thorough understanding of search marketing, while delivering strategic campaigns to successfully hit directed KPIs Validating campaign performance through strategic testing will be vital to creating successful storytelling of the value of paid search PPC buying practices, so working closely with campaign strategy and analytics leads will be imperative Prepare and present campaign performance reports to internal stakeholders
