Project Superintendent
who is both a leader and a hands-on builder. This role is ideal for a
carpenter by trade
who takes pride in craftsmanship, thrives in field leadership, and can drive commercial and industrial construction projects from concept through completion. What You'll Do Lead on-site operations for commercial and industrial construction projects. Manage subcontractors and coordinate directly with the Project Manager to maintain project schedules and quality standards. Self-perform rough and finish carpentry
as required-this is not a purely administrative role. Provide daily supervision, instruction, and mentorship to carpenters and field crews. Interpret blueprints and ensure construction aligns with specifications, safety regulations, and code compliance. Maintain full accountability for jobsite safety, cleanliness, and productivity. Oversee material procurement, equipment usage, and vendor coordination. Conduct quality control checks, ensuring all work meets company and client standards. Serve as the primary on-site contact, addressing client inquiries and maintaining professional communication. Travel to project sites as needed; company vehicle and trailer available for road projects. Qualifications Minimum
8+ years of construction field leadership , including
5 years as a Foreman
and
3 years as a Superintendent
in commercial or industrial environments. Journeyman-level carpenter
with proven ability to perform hands-on carpentry. Proficient with tools of the trade; must own and maintain carpentry tools. Strong understanding of construction procedures, OSHA guidelines, and quality standards. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents. Excellent organizational and leadership skills; able to manage multiple crews and shifting priorities. OSHA 30 or equivalent certification preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills a plus, but not required. Must reside in
southern Wisconsin or northern Illinois . Compensation & Benefits Hourly Pay:
