We are seeking a
Manufacturing Quality Engineer
to support production quality and process improvement initiatives within a high-volume manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience monitoring machine performance, conducting root cause analysis, validating gaging systems, and utilizing vision inspection and statistical process control tools to ensure consistent product quality.
Key Duties & Responsibilities: Monitor machine performance
to ensure production equipment operates within specified parameters and meets quality standards. Participate in
Material Review Board (MRB) meetings
to assess non-conforming parts, identify process-related issues, and implement
root cause and corrective actions (RCCA) . Work with
and Cognex vision systems
to perform in-process part verification and maintain accuracy of inspection setups. Conduct
process control part verification
and
torque audits
to ensure product and process compliance with design specifications. Create and maintain
SPC (Statistical Process Control) charts
to analyze process capability, stability, and performance trends. Perform
31-piece capability studies
and
gage validation (MSA studies)
whenever changes occur in the gaging system or inspection setup. Collaborate with manufacturing, design, and quality teams to drive continuous improvement in process capability and product conformance. Document and maintain
quality records, audit findings, and corrective action reports
in compliance with internal and industry standards. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree
in
Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering , or related field. 2-4 years
of experience in
manufacturing quality engineering
within automotive, aerospace, or industrial equipment industries. Proficiency in
Keyence and Cognex vision systems
for in-process inspection and quality verification. Strong understanding of
SPC (Statistical Process Control) ,
MSA (Measurement System Analysis) , and
capability studies . Experience conducting
torque audits ,
gage R&R , and
process validations . Hands-on experience with
root cause analysis ,
8D ,
Ishikawa/Fishbone , or
5 Whys
problem-solving methodologies. Familiarity with
non-conformance handling ,
MRB procedures , and
corrective/preventive action (CAPA)
processes. Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills. Strong teamwork and continuous improvement mindset. Preferred Skills: Exposure to
Lean Manufacturing
and
Six Sigma
methodologies. Experience with
PFMEA ,
Control Plans , and
Quality Management Systems (QMS) .Working knowledge of
ISO 9001 / IATF 16949
standards.
