About this Job LSU Shreveport is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of
Accounting Specialist 2
in the
Accounting Services
department. This role is responsible for performing a variety of accounting and financial tasks, including processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records. We are looking for a detail-oriented, dependable individual with strong analytical and organizational skills who can contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of the university's financial operations. Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience or training in accounting, auditing, bookkeeping, or financial operations or computations.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required experience. Job Specification

Job Duties:
Process departmental deposits for the University, scan checks for remote deposit, and verify calculations to ensure accuracy in cashier journals. Generate monthly Accounts Receivable Aging Reports and prepare accompanying status report. Prepares Quarterly LSU Administration Reporting Create/complete cashier counter policies and procedure Manage and order departmental office supplies, create requisitions and receiving in Workday Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type:

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
