RETS has been engaged by our client, a leading global private equity firm, to recruit a best in class
Acquisitions Associate
for their team in Los Angeles. Our client is looking to
hire Summer 2026 for a 2-year program.
You will be responsible for: *Collaborating with small deal team to analyze and execute real estate investments; *Performing extensive financial modeling, including scenario and sensitivity analysis; development of sources and uses, discounted cash flows, promoted and carried interests; *Participating in all aspects of investment transactions, as requested by team members; *Conducting due diligence, including environmental and physical studies, insurance, property tax research; drafting investment committee memos; *Collaborating with the firm's partners before and after acquisitions; *Traveling to visit potential and existing investments, as needed.
Ideal Candidates MUST Possess: *2-3 three years experience as a commercial real estate analyst for an investment bank, developer, high volume REIT or private equity firm; *Bachelor's degree from a top tier university with a cumulative GPA of 3.5+
(sorry, no advanced degrees) ; *Expert knowledge in Excel and the overall financial valuation and modeling process; Argus is a plus. You will be tested; *Solid understanding of and ability to model capital structures, including senior debt, mezzanine debt, preferred equity, and common equity; *Ability to assess qualitative and quantitative characteristics of properties and/or investments; *Outgoing personality with the drive to succeed and natural curiosity.
