PrideStaff is seeking a highly experienced
Commercial
Construction Project Manager
to oversee government capital projects, with an emphasis on commercial building renovations, new construction, and quality control for a government agency here in West Palm Beach. (NO RESIDENTIAL experience)
This role requires a detail-oriented and knowledgeable professional with extensive experience in project administration, contract management, and collaboration with design professionals, including architects and engineers. The ideal candidate will have experience managing large-scale projects, including those valued at multiple millions of dollars.
Key Responsibilities for
Commercial
Construction Project Manager • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of government construction projects, focusing on capital improvements, interior renovations, and new building construction. • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful, on-time project delivery within scope. • Lead contract management efforts, including negotiation, administration, and enforcement of project contracts. • Collaborate closely with design professionals, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications and quality standards are met. • Coordinate and supervise all on-site activities and ensure that construction practices meet safety, compliance, and quality standards. • Conduct quality control assessments throughout the project lifecycle to maintain high standards and address any deficiencies. • Manage project risks and resolve issues promptly to prevent delays or budget overruns. • Prepare and present project status reports to government clients and stakeholders. • Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory and safety requirements throughout the project.
Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field . • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on
commercial
or
government capital
projects • Demonstrated expertise in contract. • Proven experience managing large-scale projects, including those valued at several million dollars. • Familiarity with project administrative tasks, budgeting, and scheduling. • Ability to work collaboratively with design professionals, including architects, engineers, and consultants. • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. • Proficiency in project management software, such as MS Project or similar tools. • Certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Construction Manager at-Risk (CMAR), or similar are highly . • Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.
