Our sales team is trained across all of our products to give our customers insights into our entire portfolio. Principal Applications Engineer Position Overview: Test on a PNA or PNA-X, including using a probe station. Measure with load pull systems. Probe devices up to 120 GHz. Design and build supporting hardware for MACOM products such as evaluation boards, reference designs, and application circuits. Update data sheets with application-related information. Contribute to design reviews and other technical meetings. Creative, strong team player who enjoys solving technical problems. Set up equipment and measuring devices in the lab. Create technical presentations, data packages, and other technical collateral to help customers. Heavily involved in customer calls, instill trust and confidence, and are comfortable discussing technical issues. Prepare and present technical analysis/data to management as it pertains to customer inquiries. Mentor colleagues. Collaborate with the design team for new product releases. Collaborate with the quality team to support any issues that customers have. Travel required up to 25% for internal meetings and client sites. Job Requirements

Qualifications Requires a bachelors degree in electrical engineering, or a directly related field plus seven (7) years of engineering experience in the semiconductor field. Must have at least five (5) years of experience with the following: RF, Microwave, and MMW products. Waveguide test components. Noise parameter extraction. Pulsed IV measurements. One of the following EDA tools: Keysight ADS, Keysight EMPro, HFSS, AWR. Alternatively, the employer will accept a masters degree plus five (5) years of electrical engineering experience in the semiconductor field in lieu of Bachelors plus seven (7) years of engineering experience in the semiconductor field.
