Seeking a Senior Network Virtualization Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. This role involves managing and deploying virtualized network infrastructure critical to national defense missions. Job Responsibilities

Support network buildout and deployments to the C2BMC Test Facility for the Missile Defense Agency. Perform VMware system administration activities with minimal supervision. Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring or critical network issues. Collaborate with system administrators, network engineers, and cybersecurity teams to maintain test environments. Perform vulnerability remediation and ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards. Monitor systems daily, perform backups, restorations, and application upgrades. Document system changes and maintain accurate records. Advise government customers on system status and optimization. Assist in deploying new virtual machines and managing virtualization environments. Troubleshoot, patch, and audit virtualization systems. Required Skills

Job Requirements

Minimum 10 years of general full-time work experience, with at least 7 years in network virtualization or related fields. At least 1 year of experience in a management or leadership role. Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher. Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA) or higher. Proficient in VMware virtualization technologies, including vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and SDDC Manager. Strong understanding of Internet Protocols, firewall configuration, and network troubleshooting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently on large projects. Experience with vulnerability remediation and DoD cybersecurity compliance. Demonstrated ability to perform root-cause analysis and system monitoring.
