Top employment, labor, and business immigration firms in California, representing employers in single-plaintiff and class action lawsuits, and advising employers on related legal compliance and risk avoidance with offices strategically located throughout the state, is searching for a Litigation Paralegal with 5+ years of experience to join a tight-knit group of dedicated and diverse professionals. The Paralegal plays a key role in supporting attorneys by gathering, organizing, and preparing case-related documents. They collaborate with attorneys, clients, and other legal professionals to discuss case details and strategies. Additionally, the Paralegal ensures the firm has access to essential resources and the most current legal information to operate effectively.
Responsibilities
Prepare records and deposition subpoenas, deposition notices, memo of costs, discovery responses, and legal correspondence, as well as other documents Coordinate service of subpoenas and notices Prepare summaries of deposition testimony, document productions, production logs, privilege logs and timelines Prepare binders for deposition preparation, deposition examinations, and court hearings Prepare exhibits to be used during depositions and in support of motions Meet with attorneys and other staff to talk about case details Assist in trial preparation by preparing exhibit and witness lists, preparing exhibit binders, and pulling jury instructions Prepare trial subpoenas, and agreements to attend trial for witnesses, coordinating date and time of testimony Conduct public record, litigation and social media searches File documents within the Workers' Compensation Electronic Adjudication Management System Calendar production dates to Labor Code 226 and 1198.5 demands and prepare responsive documents Assist during trial by operating as Trial Director, tracking exhibits admitted, and coordinating witnesses Assist with firm eDiscovery opportunities (i.e Logikcull, Relativity, etc.) Upload projects to the Logikcull platform and review and tag documents using search terms to identify those responsive Qualifications
5+ civil litigation paralegal experience (employment law preferred but not required) Solid understanding of legal principles, legal procedures, and professional protocols Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook programs Position requires critical thinking skills, strong written and verbal communication abilities, attention to detail, proof-reading skills, and ability to multi-task Education • Current Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved school required • B.A. or B.S. degree is preferred

Hours: This is a full-time position with flexible work options-either in-office or hybrid. An in-office presence is expected during the first 90 days at one of our five locations: Irvine, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego, or San Francisco. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a 45-minute to one-hour unpaid lunch break.
Ability to pass Background, Drug Screen and if applicable Medical Screenings (i.e. Vision, Hearing, or Physical) if Required by Client. Medical, dental, vision, ancillary coverage and 401k benefits are available.
