Overview of Job Description
Classification: Exempt, regular full-time employee (40 hours/week) Directly Reports to: Property Manager
Job purpose Business Manager ("BM") performs a variety of work in the general accounting and administrative areas of multifamily property management including: account management, delinquent rent management, collections, lease renewal negotiations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, leasing and general administrative duties.
Duties and responsibilities BM is responsible to his/her home property/properties and supports regional properties as necessary. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Assisting with leasing apartments • Customer service • Answering prospect and resident telephone calls and e-mails • Marketing and advertising • Daily administrative duties • Rent collection • Account management • Delinquent reporting • Accounts payable and receivable • File management • Lease renewal invitations and management • Collections • Invoicing • Performing other tasks assigned by the on-site Property Manager Additional Requirements • Positive attitude that exhibits teamwork, customer service, and commitment • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented • Appropriate professional attire • Adherence to accounting procedures and training • Effective written and oral communication • Dependable, strong work ethic • Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills • Strong drive to succeed • Drug-free and alcohol-free workplace • Valid driver's license
