JOB DESCRIPTION:
Driven Brand's Accounting groupis looking for a Driven Sr. Fixed Asset Accountant who wants to make a difference!
Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Fixed Asset Accounting and supporting all segments, this role is responsible for supporting the company's global fixed asset accounting processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across multiple legal entities and geographies in the Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP. This role will play a critical part in supporting the month-end close, fixed asset subledger management, internal control compliance, and cross-functional coordination with Operations, IT, Controllership, External Financial Reporting and FP&A.
How you'll Go the Distance:
Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset subledger for multiple entities. Oversee capital project accounting (CIP) and ensure timely capitalization of completed assets. Ensure compliance with capitalization policies, useful life standards, impairment testing, and disposals. Partner with construction, IT, operations and other finance teams to validate project costs and coordinate asset capitalization. Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for month-end close. Support flux analysis preparation, in addition to deliverables to the External Financial Reporting team Ensure adherence to SOX/internal control requirements and support internal and external audits. Monitor compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures across entities. Assist with system enhancements, process improvements, and automation of fixed asset workflows. Support management with ad hoc analysis, reporting, and strategic initiatives. What you'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master's degree a plus. Minimum 4 years of accounting experience required. Demonstrated expertise in fixed asset accounting, including CIP, capitalizations, impairments, and disposals. Strong understanding of US GAAP. CPA license preferred (active or in progress). Strong internal controls knowledge and SOX compliance experience. Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle Fusion Cloud, SAP, or equivalent) and advanced Excel skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Added Fuel if you have:
At least 2 years in Big 4 or large public accounting firm experience strongly preferred. Experience in a multinational, multi-entity environment preferred. CPA Designation
