Description Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations, employing standardized assessments along with observational techniques. Craft individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions that target communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Collaborate effectively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to design cohesive strategies for patient care. Provide education to patients and families that supports their progress beyond clinical settings. Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring smooth transitions in care throughout the treatment process. Maintain precise and timely documentation that aligns with state, federal, and organizational standards. Stay abreast of advancements in the field through continuous education and collaboration with peers. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a
Speech Language Pathologist . Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills
