Job Summary:
As a
Senior Professional Services Engineer , you will play a key role in the successful delivery of technical projects, acting as a senior technical resource and escalation point within our Professional Services team. You will lead the implementation of client-centric solutions, with a focus on the financial services sector, while mentoring and supporting other engineers. In addition to owning complex project phases and tasks, you will participate in high-level client communications and provide strategic technical guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and repeatable solutions.
You'll serve as a bridge between clients and the engineering team - leading deployments, managing client expectations, and ensuring technical excellence. Your broad experience, professionalism, and leadership will directly contribute to the success of both our clients and internal teams.
Responsibilities
(including, but not limited to the following):
Act as a senior technical lead on Professional Services projects, handling the most complex tasks, phases, and issues.
Serve as an escalation point for technical challenges across projects and teams.
Actively participate in planning, scoping, and status meetings with clients; clearly communicate technical details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Delegate and coordinate project work to junior team members; ensure quality and timely execution.
Mentor and coach Professional Services Engineers and assist with onboarding new team members.
Provide architectural input and guidance on infrastructure design and deployments.
Lead the configuration and troubleshooting of Windows 11, Windows Servers, VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, AWS, Storage, VDI, MAM/MDM, Microsoft 365 (Entra, Exchange, Purview, Intune, etc.), VoIP, SSO, BCDR, and more.
Perform advanced cloud migrations and configuration
Maintain and improve internal documentation, including process guides and implementation playbooks.
Monitor and contribute toward departmental KPIs, consistently meeting or exceeding personal performance targets.
Available for on-call escalations and high-priority support incidents when necessary.
Some domestic travel and occasional client site visits may be required.
Maintain billable utilization
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience delivering complex technical solutions in IT infrastructure environments.
Strong background with Windows 11, Windows Servers, VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, AWS, Storage, VDI, MAM/MDM, Microsoft 365 (Entra, Exchange, Purview, Intune, etc.), VoIP, SSO, BCDR
Base knowledge in networking (firewalls, managed switches, TCP/IP, and common protocols).
Demonstrated experience with infrastructure-as-code or scripting tools a plus (e.g., PowerShell, Terraform).
Experience managing or leading IT projects, including delegating tasks and overseeing successful outcomes.
Confident in leading client conversations, translating technical solutions into business value.
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
Qualifications:
5+ years experience in a project systems engineering or infrastructure-focused role, preferably within an MSP or consulting environment.
Relevant certifications strongly (Azure Solutions Architect Expert, MCSE, VCP, CCP, etc.).
Prior experience mentoring junior team members or leading technical initiatives.
MSP experience highly .
Ability to work in a hybrid fashion with occasional travel to clients or company offices.
