Job Responsibilities Conduct assessments for patients of all ages, utilizing both standardized tools and observational methods. Create tailored intervention plans focusing on both short and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver individualized speech therapy targeting various aspects of communication including fluency, voice, and swallowing. Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop cohesive treatment strategies. Provide educational resources to patients and their families to reinforce therapy progress beyond the clinical environment. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments to ensure a smooth continuum of care throughout patient journeys. Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation compliant with state, federal, and organizational protocols. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and teamwork. Education & Experience
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if certification from ASHA has not yet been obtained. Licenses & Certifications
State licensure as a
Speech Language Pathologist . Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred but not mandatory. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be secured within 30 days of hire. Professional Skills
Expertise in evidence-based practices across the lifespan, accompanied by solid knowledge of developmental and acquired speech-language and swallowing disorders. Outstanding communication skills to engage effectively with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary teams. Ability to adapt treatment approaches to accommodate cultural and linguistic diversity. Strong clinical judgement paired with problem-solving skills. Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation standards. Benefits
