Data Architect
Looking for an experienced, hardworking, positive thinking, self-motivated, and innovative, Data Architect to help cultivate best practices for performance, availability, recoverability, and security for our data solutions and utilities team. This position will include testing out new data solutions for viability, providing consultation to development teams on solution design, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and providing escalated support for issues. Communication, teamwork, good work ethics, flexibility with fast-paced change, and attention to detail is an ABSOLUTE necessity. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Escalated Data Solution Support(SQL, Databricks, SSIS, etc... (business hours and occasional after hours) Data solutioning and troubleshooting Internal consult for development teams R&D for technologies new to the business including fleshing out management and deployment strategies Interceding with vendors to resolve vendor application issues Crafting, updating, and documenting best practices for data solutions Coordinating and executing large scale data-based initiatives MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Data Mapping, Cataloging, Classification. Data Catalog/Scanning solutions (IE. Azure Purview, Collibra, Alation, Varonis, ....) Data Analytics solutioning: Azure Databricks, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Datalake Senior level SQL Server DBA experience SQL Server Architecture (Versions 2016 R2 or greater)
Security (TLS, Encryption Experience with TDE via EKM, Always Encrypted column level Encryption,...) High Availability (Always on, Replication,...) Disaster Recovery Backup and Recovery (IE. Native, Azure Backup Center,...) SQL IAAS and SQL PAAS
Architecture: Design, Security, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Backup and Recovery in the following areas
Azure Data Analytics/Science and Tools (One or more: Databricks, Azure SQL Synapse, ...) Other Azure PAAS Data Solutions (Multiple : Azure SQL, Data Lake, Data Factory, Cosmos DB, Power BI,...)
General experience with Azure as a whole (Deployment, Security, Networking, etc...) Powershell scripting ITIL practices Service Now or equivalent ITIL ticketing system Database Development (ETL, OLTP, OLAP, ...) PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
