Job Description
Job Title: Attendance Clerk
Reports To: Campus Principal
School/Program: Odyssey Academy
Primary Work Site: Campus as Assigned
Calendar Days: 190 Days
Pay Scale/Status:
Paraprofessional (PCT2)/Non-Exempt
Summary:
Maintain accurate attendance records for the campus. Under direct supervision, perform data entry including attendance, Public Education Information Managements System (PEIMS), and registration data.
Responsibilities and Duties: Collect and enter attendance and PEIMS data into TxEIS and verify accuracy according to established procedures. Prepare and print reports, including attendance reports, class rosters, and end-of-semester reports. Maintain physical and computerized records, including student cumulative folders, discipline and attendance reports, entering student data into appropriate databases. Assist parents, students, and faculty with questions regarding student attendance and registration. Process and transmit requests for student attendance information. Call parents to verify student absences as needed. Report all attendance problems to designated administrator. Serve as back-up office receptionist. Receive incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route appropriately. Maintain confidentiality. Supervisory Responsibilities:

High School Diploma or GED Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets and databases, and do word processing Proficient typing, keyboarding, file maintenance, and 10-key skills Ability to meet established deadlines Experience:
Two years data entry experience
