6-month contract- hire
Role Summary
Our client, a leading organization in the greater Chicago area, is seeking a Document Control Specialist (QA)to support their quality and compliance teams. This role is vital in maintaining the flow and control of electronic and hard-copy documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and control flow of both electronic and physical documentation
Write, implement, and maintain document control systems
Log, track, and maintain batch records
Coordinate document control activities between subcontractors, service providers, and fulfillment houses
Identify, recommend, and implement solutions to documentation issues
Ensure confidentiality while interacting with various internal and external stakeholders
Maintain and track internal/external document routing
Complete batch reconciliations and review BOMs
Manage raw material testing and approvals, including routing and logging test sheets
Release and approve raw materials in MAX system
Create, print, verify, and log raw material green tags
Manage release, hold, or rejection of finished goods in Access database
Prepare and send first production samples to customers
Handle all Quality-related outgoing shipments (FedEx, UPS)
Generate Certificates of Analysis (C of As) and Certificates of Manufacturing (C of M's)
Create, review, and approve internal Fill and Assembly specifications
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma required
Experience: 1-2 years of relevant documentation or quality support experience preferred
Excellent attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills (English proficiency required)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Familiarity with document control systems and manufacturing/QC processes a plus
