In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:
Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
Remain in "valid" Visa status as applicable.
A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
Federal Work Study student may apply.
In good disciplinary standing.
Must be located in the U.S.

This position involves setting up and operating microphones, speakers, sound consoles, lighting consoles, and lighting fixtures, including LEDs and moving fixtures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Loading equipment in and out of vans/buses/trucks; Operation of sound board Set up, wire and focus all lights, including all rental equipment; Operate lighting board during rehearsal and show(s); Supervise spotlight operators during rehearsal and show(s); Participation in strike at the end of production Required Skills and Knowledge:
Knowledge of stage lighting, from design to operation; Knowledge of monitor mixing, and completion of proper training; Familiarity with theatrical production procedures and policies; Lifting at least 50lbs, and some climbing is required; Ability to remain at the sound/lighting console position for two hours uninterrupted is required Excellent punctuality and interpersonal skills. Skills Learned:
All aspects of stage design, from the point of view of audio and lighting; Working with guest designers gives students the opportunity to be part of a well tuned production Operation of standard equipment and software found in the field, including EOS lighting consoles, Yamaha CL5 desk, Audinate Dante; Organizational and leadership skills are developed through hands-on experience
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

Expected Hours Per Week: 10-20
Expected Dates and Times of Shifts: Dates will be based around our production schedule. Tech/Dress/Performance will be almost bi-weekly. Some Friday availability during the day, Saturday/Sunday weekend hours, and then evenings during the week.
