The Department of Physics is a medium-sized department in the College of Arts and Sciences, the oldest and largest academic division of Indiana University.
Job Summary Responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and teardown of equipment used in the introductory physics labs. Supports faculty and students by ensuring lab sessions are safe, well-organized, and technically functional. Sets up experiments, maintains equipment, manages supplies, and assists with lab development and safety protocols. Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
Physics or engineering coursework Preferred
2 year degree in physics, engineering or a related field SKILLS
Required
Hands-on technical skills Strong organizational abilities Ability to work on schedule Preferred
Electronic repair skills Video editing 3D printing Fabrication experience Experience with instructional technology Experience with lab systems like PASCO or Vernier Working Conditions / Demands
This position will work in a lab setting.
Additional Information
This position will work a maximum of 20 hours per week.
Depending on experience and skills additional hours up to 29 hours per week may be available.
