Position Title: Senior Accountant Location: Los Angeles, CA (Onsite) Position Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Base Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 Bonus: ~$11,000/year (Company bonus plan in place) About our client
Our client is a fourth-generation family-owned enterprise and a vertically integrated leader in the global trade of nuts and dried fruits. Specializing in the growing, processing, and worldwide distribution of high-quality pistachios and other crops, operates one of California's largest pistachio processing plants. In addition to its own production, the company processes and exports nuts and dried fruits from other growers across the state.
With a multilingual sales team fluent in over 19 languages, our client connects international markets with unmatched service and efficiency. The company is committed to quality, food safety, and delivering best-in-class grower returns.
About the Role The Senior Accountant will lead core accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, month-end closing, and financial reporting. This role ensures compliance with GAAP standards and internal controls while supporting continuous improvements to systems and processes.
Core Responsibilities Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and documentation Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities Produce GAAP-compliant financial statements Analyze financial data and performance trends Enforce corporate accounting policies and internal controls Collaborate with external auditors during audit cycles Support budget and forecast development Enhance and maintain accounting systems and process efficiency Guide and support junior accounting team members Manage and analyze standard cost accounting and variance
Must-Have Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 6+ years of accounting experience (corporate or public) Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Proficient in accounting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail
Preferred Experience
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP
