Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to operate computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision components according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience with machining operations, understand technical drawings, and be committed to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.) to perform various machining tasks. Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Load raw materials into machines and monitor machining processes to ensure quality. Measure, examine, and test completed parts for conformance to specifications using precision instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers). Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machines and tools. Adjust machine settings to improve production quality and efficiency. Maintain detailed records of production runs and machine maintenance. Collaborate with engineers and other machinists to ensure parts meet design and performance standards. Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures. Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school certification preferred. 2+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role. Proficient in operating CNC machinery and interpreting G-code. Strong understanding of machining practices and shop math. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Familiarity with measuring tools and quality control processes. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Excellent time management and organizational abilities. Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination. Preferred Skills (Optional):
Experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360). Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
