About the role :
As a Flight Test Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing flight tests of electric propulsion systems integrated into aircraft platforms. You'll work closely with design, integration, and certification teams to ensure safe and effective testing aligned with FAA standards.
Primary Responsibilities: Support integration and testing of magniX's electric powertrain products into flying test beds. Plan and execute flight test campaigns, including instrumentation setup, data acquisition, and post-flight analysis. Collaborate with DERs / DARs and FAA representatives to ensure regulatory compliance through experimental flight test programs. Develop and maintain flight test plans, instructions, reports, and datasets within product lifecycle framework. Design and manage instrumentation controls (calibrations, checkouts, filtering). Work cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, certification and test teams to define test articles and instrumentation. Participate in flight test campaigns, flight test briefings, data review and assessment. Responsible for test execution and coordination with the flight crew. Responsible for maintaining test configuration control, weight and balance control and data control Maintaining safety hazard analysis for each test. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field. 3+ years of experience in aerospace testing, preferably with flight test exposure. Familiarity with FAA regulations (FAR 23, 27 and 33) and certification processes. Experience with LabVIEW, Python, and HBM Perception for data acquisition and analysis. Ability to travel and support on-site flight test operations. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with IADS based systems preferred Strong understanding of propulsion systems and aircraft integration. Location:
