Your Role:
As a Calibration and Metrology Technician, you will oversee the calibration program for our Twin Cities Sites. You will assist colleagues with gauging requests, maintain calibration records, and ensure compliance with both Vantive and industry standards through precise documentation and local work instructions. Your expertise will also include the calibration of various types of equipment.
What You'll Be Doing:
Utilize measurement science to manage calibration of measurement and testing equipment across multiple areas, including electrical, dimensional, optical, mechanical, and environmental, in line with applicable standards.
Collaborate with R&D Engineers and Quality teams to establish precise calibration specifications.
Serve as a representative of the calibration program, providing insights on measurement and related processes.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to plan and schedule calibrations, both onsite and offsite.
Manage supplier approvals, obtain quotations, and create purchase orders when necessary.
Execute the calibration of Metrology equipment.
Ensure up-to-date calibration management system records, including equipment status and location, confirming all gear is compliant.
Check out calibrated equipment to end users and provide necessary support.
Perform technical reviews on supplier calibration certificates, ensuring all data meets approved ranges before service restoration.
Track and initiate deviation reports for instrument changes and out-of-tolerance conditions.
Assist in investigation processes as required.
Develop and uphold local calibration procedures for Twin Cities Sites.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in calibration audits, supplying necessary documentation and process support.
Offer remote support to the Global Metrology team by reviewing calibration work and supplier certificates.
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience of 6+ years in a calibration-related field.
Strong understanding of Metrology principles and measurement science.
Experience working in an FDA-regulated environment.
Proficient in calibration software databases and familiar with Metrology-related standards (ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540.3, etc.) as well as industry standards (CFR, ISO 13485).
Ability to effectively collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams.
Capable of managing the calibration program independently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The estimated base salary for this position ranges from $64,000 to $80,000 annually, reflecting the anticipated salary range based on market data and other factors. Individual compensation will be influenced by location, experience, and expertise.
