Job Description Job Title: RN - Telemetry Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Must-Have: Candidates must have experience in cardiac rhythm interpretation. Candidates must possess respiratory experience, including advanced airways and oxygen management. Candidates must be skilled in administering cardiac drips that are not titrated.
Description: This is a contract position for a Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry. The assignment will last for 13 weeks. The typical shift hours are from 07:00 to 19:00. No on-call duties are required. Candidates must have telemetry experience.
The unit has 34 private rooms. The staffing structure includes a Charge Nurse, 7 RNs, 3 PCTs, and a Unit Clerk on the day shift. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 5:1. Typical equipment includes GE Telemetry, Pyxis, and Welch Allen Vital Sign Monitors. Electronic medical records are managed through Meditech.
Preferred qualifications include ACLS certification. Common procedures performed in this unit include stress tests, heart catheterizations, CABG, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and chest tube placements. Ideal candidates will be team players.
Candidates will be required to float to Med Surg, Med Surg Telemetry, and the ED holding area as necessary. Every other weekend scheduling is expected.
