Solutions Architect, Business Applications

Overview Join Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Solutions Architect focusing on Business Applications. In this exciting role, you'll lead industrial software partner solutions for AWS, collaborating with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and clients in Horizontal Business Applications (HBA) such as CRM, Digital Experience (DX), and Robotic Process Automation (RPA). We seek a technical leader with enterprise-scale experience to support advanced cloud solutions across diverse vertical segments. You will play a pivotal role in establishing trust and promoting adoption of the AWS cloud computing platform among our most strategic partners. Collaborate closely with ISVs and consulting firms to ensure they develop scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions on AWS. You'll partner with technical leaders, C-level executives, and major influencers and will contribute to white papers, reference architectures, technical webinars, and public speaking engagements. The right candidate can engage at all organizational levels and demonstrate deep expertise in building optimized cloud architectures. Note: Up to 25% travel may be required. Key Responsibilities Identify customer and ISV needs to develop a portfolio of solutions that showcase AWS value. Collaborate with business development and solutions architect teams to enhance AWS offerings. Establish technical credibility in sales cycles, engaging with CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, and Senior Developers. Partner with AWS associates to create cloud-based solutions offerings, including reference architectures. Act as a representative for partner and customer feedback, collaborating with internal service teams to promote functional enhancements. Evangelize AWS services and solutions, sharing best practices through various channels including blogs and public-speaking events. Day-to-Day Activities Engage with partner product managers and engineering teams, addressing challenges and soliciting feedback on ongoing projects. Build and test proofs of concept or code samples, write insightful blog posts or white papers, and stay updated with technical news and market trends. Guide AWS Partners in architectural best practices. Qualifications Basic Qualifications A minimum of 2 years in designing, implementing, or consulting on applications and infrastructure. 4+ years in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, and systems engineering. 5+ years of experience in IT development or consulting in software or related industries. Experience designing and implementing cloud-native applications. Preferred Qualifications Experience in software development or Internet-related sectors. Expertise in migrating legacy solutions to the cloud. Strong presentation and communication skills for both technical and business audiences. Experience with enterprise software companies or SaaS providers.
