What You'll Do:

Maintain & Repair Water Systems: Read meters, identify and repair leaks, and install new water and sewer mains. Troubleshoot & Resolve Issues: Operate remote control cameras to inspect sewer lines, clean blockages, and repair manholes. Operate Specialized Equipment: Use heavy machinery such as dump trucks, backhoes, and forklifts, as well as power tools. Ensure Public Safety: Install work safety zones, direct traffic at worksites, and maintain fire hydrants. Respond to Emergencies: Participate in on-call rotations for emergency repairs and urgent maintenance needs. What We're Looking For:

Knowledgeable & Skilled: Familiarity with water and wastewater systems, utility meter operations, and equipment maintenance. Hands-On Experience: Ability to use hand and power tools effectively, operate heavy machinery, and perform physical tasks in various conditions. Problem-Solver: Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve system issues efficiently. Team Player: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with colleagues, contractors, and the public. Adaptable & Reliable: Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and be available for emergency call-outs. Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. At least one to two years of experience in a related role or an apprenticeship. Valid Texas driver's license (or ability to obtain one). Ability to obtain a Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Class C or higher license in water and wastewater.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

This is an active role that requires frequent lifting, bending, climbing, and exposure to outdoor elements, noise, and machinery. Protective gear is required in certain situations.
