Join Spirax-Sarco, a top-tier leader in steam thermal solutions, as an ESMU Material Handler in Blythewood, SC! This outstanding opportunity allows you to perform essential warehouse tasks, including shipping, receiving, and distributing parts and materials for both standard and custom packages. You will operate forklift equipment and company trucks, and may also be involved in light assembly of subassemblies and providing backup support for paint. We are committed to maintaining outstanding quality standards in our production processes. Essential Functions/Responsibilities: Accept materials based on purchase orders and/or invoices, input inventory receipts into the ERP system, and store materials in designated physical inventory locations or supplier Kanban locations as needed. Pull and stage materials for standard or custom project work orders and replenishment Kanbans. Ready finished goods for dispatch, verifying accuracy in backflushing records, pick, pack, and ship activities in the ERP system, and secure packaging to safeguard products during transportation. Support logistics by contacting freight companies for quotes and scheduling pickups to meet OTTR objectives. Perform inventory cycle counts and ensure inventory levels remain within required minimum and maximum levels. Prepare and process shipping records, including bills of lading, and track shipment data. Collaborate with 6S, SQDIP, and PDCA panels to align with important metrics and monthly objectives. Be accountable and responsible for all safety and environmental compliance related to the position. Demonstrate knowledge of general safety, security, and environmental regulations. Education/Experience/Skills: High school graduate or equivalent with 2 to 3 years of experience in shipping and receiving in a manufacturing environment. Experience: Basic computer skills with the ability to quickly learn industry-specific software. Certifications: Ability to become certified to operate walk-behind and forklift equipment, including counterbalance and hoists.
