About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced

Director of Nursing (DON)

to lead our nursing department in providing exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate is a compassionate leader with a strong clinical background, excellent organizational skills, and a proven ability to inspire and guide nursing teams toward excellence in patient outcomes and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Management Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs. Conduct performance evaluations and promote ongoing staff development. Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality resident care and compliance with all regulatory standards. Clinical Oversight

Oversee the assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized resident care plans. Monitor quality of care and promptly address any issues or concerns. Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of all clinical care activities. Regulatory Compliance

Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and local regulations, including CMS guidelines. Prepare for and participate in inspections, surveys, and audits. Resource Management

Manage departmental budgets, staffing levels, and supplies to ensure efficient, cost-effective operations. Maintain high standards of care while optimizing resource utilization. Collaboration & Communication

Partner with Administration, Therapy, and Dietary teams to coordinate comprehensive resident care. Foster strong relationships with residents, families, and the wider community to promote a positive, supportive environment. Qualifications:

Active RN license (Kansas required; BSN preferred) 2+ years in long-term care or skilled nursing 2+ years of leadership or management experience Strong organizational, communication, and team-building skills Skills:

Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment In-depth knowledge of nursing standards, regulations, and quality improvement practices Benefits:
