Role Summary
Own the
project schedule
from precon through commissioning for electrical scopes. You'll build baselines, drive logic and risk reviews, model impacts (TIAs), and keep operations, procurement, and commissioning aligned-so crews stay productive and turnovers hit on time.
What You'll Do
Plan & build baselines:
Develop WBS, calendars, activity coding, resource loading, and cost loading in
Primavera P6
(MS Project as needed). Electrical sequencing:
Model long-lead gear prefab rough-in feeders/cable tray terminations testing/commissioning
energization/shutdown
windows. Updates & reporting:
Run weekly progress updates, 3-week look-aheads, S-curves, manpower histograms, and owner/GC narratives. Risk & recovery:
Perform
Time Impact Analyses (TIA) , fragnet modeling, near-critical path reviews, and recovery plans; support delay/claim documentation. Procurement tie-in:
Integrate submittals, fabrication, and delivery dates for
switchgear, transformers, ATS, UPS, lighting controls , and specialty systems. Coordination:
Align with PM/PE/Superintendent, BIM/VDC, QA/QC, and trade partners; participate in pull-planning/Last Planner where used. Commissioning readiness:
Sequence pre-functional, functional testing, integrated systems testing, and turnover milestones. Standards & governance:
Maintain coding standards, templates, and schedule health (Acumen/Fuse or equivalent). Qualifications
3-7+ years
in construction scheduling with at least
2+ years at an electrical contractor
(MEP-heavy GC experience considered). Proficiency in
Primavera P6
(baselines, updates, resources, layouts, global change); MS Project a plus. Proven experience with
TIAs, fragnet inserts, recovery plans , and executive-level reporting. Strong understanding of
electrical construction means & methods , long-lead procurement, testing/commissioning, and outage planning. Tools:
Procore ,
Bluebeam , Excel; Acumen Fuse/Risk or Asta Powerproject a plus. Able to read one-lines, risers, device layouts; collaborate effectively with field teams and GC schedulers. Degree in Construction Management/Engineering preferred or equivalent field experience. Nice to Have
Background on
healthcare, data center, aviation, industrial, or high-rise
projects. Exposure to
pull planning/Lean , BIM/VDC workflows, and prefabrication sequencing.
