COMPANY BACKGROUND Astro Pak is the nation's leading precision cleaning and passivation contractor specializing in on-site cleaning of high purity gas and fluid systems, as well as precision cleaning of components and hardware at the company’s Cleanroom facilities. POSITION OPPORTUNITY The Quality Manager will report directly to Astro Pak’s Quality Director and will manage the California Cleanroom location’s Quality Department. The Quality Manager will ensure the location’s QMS conforms to the latest ISO9001/AS9100 requirements as well as other internal and external quality and business requirements and will champion a culture of Quality excellence in accordance with the company’s core values. ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Management Representative

Ensures the location’s QMS conforms to the latest requirements of ISO 9001 / AS9100 and the integrity of the QMS is maintained when changes to the QMS are planned and implemented. Ensures that the location’s processes are delivering their intended outputs. Reports to the Director of Quality Cleanroom Services on the performance of the QMS and on opportunities for improvement. Ensures the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization. Liaison with external parties on matters relating to the QMS, nonconformities, or other Quality related matters.

Champion a culture of continuous improvement to exceed customer expectations. Lead the effort to control and correct nonconformities as they occur or are brought to the organization’s attention. Provide guidance to the organization on opportunities to mitigate risk or prevent potential nonconformities from occurring. Manage the Corrective Action system and collaborate with the organization’s Process Owners to continuously improve the QMS, processes performed, and performance against the goals of the organization. Quality Control and Operational Support

Oversee a staff of inspectors, set goals, optimize the inspection processes, and ensure the delivery of compliant product to customers. Oversee the Internal Audit program to ensure continued compliance to the QMS and AS9100 and to ensure the QMS processes are effective and maintained. Oversee established calibration and testing program. Assist with ensuring compliance to contract and regulatory requirements. Coordinate, prepare for and oversee customer and other external audits.

Document Controls & Output

Champion the standardization and optimization of location business processes for the purpose of providing a consistent customer experience. Ensure that documented information controls are appropriate and effective. May be required to author, revise and maintain Astro Pak Cleanroom documents. Review and approve documentation as required by change control process. Ensure adequacy of process controls applicable to routers and/or work instructions for hardware processing.

Training & Accountability

Direct and supervise the selection, training, development, appraisal, and work assignments of Quality personnel at the location. Partner with People & Culture and/or other Departments to develop and implement proper training and organizational processes for Cleanroom. Ensure ongoing training and organizational processes drive desired practices, behaviors and company culture. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill. Support the evaluation and performance of Quality personnel; provide coaching for performance improvement and growth.

Safety

Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or HR.

Analyze and implement projects in compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws. Qualifications Education/Training/Certifications:

Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; or five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Related Experience:

At least 5 years of work experience in Quality Assurance, should be combined with a demonstrated track record of accomplishments managing systems, people, and process improvement activities. Experience with aerospace quality management in a service organization strongly preferred. Experience with ISO quality systems mandatory; experience with AS9100D strongly preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, and superior organizational abilities. Ability to interact at all levels of company and with people of various backgrounds and experience. Ability to take initiative, maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines, and work in a team environment. Excellent proficiency in PC-based computing (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and cGMP documentation) is essential. Legal capacity to comply with federally mandated requirements of the U.S. Export Control Laws. Other Cognitive Skills: Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to lead effective meetings and deliver persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, coworkers, and top management. Mathematical Skills:

Ability to apply statistical analysis techniques such as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Reasoning Ability :

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
