Overview The mission of TikTok's Global Security Organization (GSO) is to build and earn trust by reducing risk and securing our businesses and products. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Privileged Access Management (PAM) Architect to improve, implement, and manage our enterprise PAM solutions. You will lead the architecture and strategic direction of PAM initiatives, protecting critical systems, identities, and data by minimizing risks associated with privileged access.
Responsibilities
Lead the architecture and design of scalable and secure PAM solutions across the enterprise.
Define the PAM strategy, reference architecture, and PAM governance model.
Partner with infrastructure, application, platform, and security teams to evaluate current privileged access management and identify gaps.
Drive education and adoption of the PAM solution, including integration with existing systems and applications.
Perform comparative evaluation, testing, implementation, and optimization of industry‑standard PAM solutions.
Improve PAM policies, standards, and best practices aligned with regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g. PCI‑DSS, NIS2, ISO 27001, SOX).
Collaborate with GRC teams to conduct risk assessments and threat modeling specific to privileged access scenarios.
Manage the lifecycle of privileged accounts, including discovery, onboarding, rotation, monitoring, and offboarding.
Support audits by ensuring appropriate controls, evidence, and documentation for PAM processes.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and operations teams.
Stay current with emerging threats, trends, and technologies in IAM and PAM.
Qualifications
Proven experience designing and deploying PAM solutions in large, complex environments.
Deep understanding of identity and access management, RBAC, least privilege, and Zero Trust principles.
Hands‑on experience with at least one major PAM platform (CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Delinea, etc.) and secret management tools (HashiCorp Vault).
Familiarity with cloud IAM and PAM for Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, networking, and security protocols.
Experience with scripting or automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, REST APIs).
Ability to build strategic partnerships with cross‑regional teams and influence roadmaps to deliver strategic PAM solutions.
5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT infrastructure, with at least 3+ years in a PAM‑focused role.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
Ability to work independently with global cross‑regional teams.

Job Information
Compensation: $147,200 - $269,800 annually (base salary range for selected city).
Additional compensation may include discretionary bonuses, stock units, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, paid parental leave, short‑term and long‑term disability, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, 10 paid holidays, 10 paid sick days, 17 days of paid personal time.
