Claim Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards. Salary Range

2 What Is the Opportunity?
This position services a territory in a designated Massachusetts area. The selected candidate must reside in or be willing to relocate at their own expense to the assigned territory. Massachusetts Appraiser License is preferred however not required. This is an entry level position that requires satisfactory completion of required training to advance to Auto Appraiser position. This position is intended to develop skills for investigating, evaluating, negotiating and resolving claims on losses of lesser value and complexity. This position requires assistance with customer contacts, coverage, investigation, evaluation, payments, negotiation and resolution. As part of the hiring process, this position requires the completion of an online pre?employment assessment. Further information regarding the assessment including an accommodation process, if needed, will be provided at such time as your candidacy is deemed appropriate for further consideration. What Will You Do? Complete required training which includes the overall instruction, exposure, and preparation for employees to progress to the next level position. The training may involve online, virtual, classroom, and on?the?job components and may require travel. Deliver consistent service quality throughout the claim life cycle, including prompt contact, explaining the process, setting expectations, on?going effective communication, and follow?through to achieve optimal outcomes on every file. Effectively manage work assignments and promptly travel to the location of the vehicle when required. Utilize technical expertise and gathered information to accurately determine the physical claim value of claims using company?recognized resources, estimation and evaluation software. Establish the physical damage claim value of assigned losses. Prepare and document accurate vehicle damage appraisals, actual cash and replacement values according to applicable regulatory and corporate guidelines. When appropriate, negotiate with repair facilities leveraging appropriate resources to achieve agreement on value and required payments. For applicable total loss claims, determine settlement amounts, including applicable coverages and deductibles. Negotiate and convey claim settlements within authority and initiate payment to the customer, including total loss, rental reimbursement, etc. Review and analyze coverage and apply policy conditions, provisions, exclusions, and endorsements, and evaluate how jurisdictional issues impact the claim. Physically inspect the vehicle or review submitted appraisal to estimate damage using technical expertise and information gathered to accurately detect fraud. Partner with the Auto Claim Professional throughout the life of the claim to ensure appropriate claim resolution and pursuit of alternative recovery sources (e.g., Subrogation, TIS, etc.). Provide inspection assistance to lines of business and departments (property, boat and yacht, inland marine, public sector, etc.) as needed, including catastrophe response. Continuously update a plan of action, maintain an effective diary to manage file inventory, and bring the claim to resolution in a timely manner. Ensure secure maintenance of a company credit card as required. Obtain and maintain any necessary insurance license(s) as required by state and Travelers regulations, completing required continuing education credits within the specified timeframe. Demonstrate proficiency in these skills to progress to Claim Representative under management verification. Perform other duties as assigned.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
Bachelors Degree preferred or a minimum of 2 years of work or customer service related experience preferred. Demonstrated ownership attitude and customer?centric response to all assigned tasks basic. Verbal and written communication skills intermediate. Attention to detail ensuring accuracy basic. Ability to work in a high volume, fast?paced environment managing multiple priorities basic. Analytical thinking basic. Judgment / decision making basic.
What is a Must Have?
High School Diploma or GED and one year of customer service experience OR Bachelors Degree required. Valid drivers license required.
