The English Skills Learning Center (ESLC) is seeking a compassionate and reliable Child Care Facilitator to support families participating in adult English classes. This person will create a safe, engaging environment for children (ages 1-5) while their parents attend class. The ideal candidate is creative, dependable, and passionate about supporting community-based learning. Essential Duties & Responsibilities & Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Plan and lead age-appropriate activities for children during English classes, including art, games, storytime, and free play. Set up and clean up the childcare space each day. Supervise children to ensure a safe and welcoming environment. Collaborate with ESLC staff and teachers. Collaborate and communicate with volunteers supporting childcare activities. Communicate with parents as needed and follow safety procedures. Track attendance and maintain basic records. Minimum qualifications
Experience working with children (informal or formal settings welcome). Ability to plan and lead engaging activities for a range of ages. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Dependable and punctual. CPR/First Aid certification preferred. SLCC Information
