This role is responsible for developing and maintaining daily, weekly, and long?range production schedules that align with customer orders, material availability, and manufacturing capacity. The Production Planner/Scheduler works closely with operations, purchasing, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure materials and resources are available to meet production goals. The position uses ERP systems to create and manage work orders, track progress, and make necessary adjustments to maintain efficiency and on?time delivery. It monitors production performance, identifies potential bottlenecks or shortages, and communicates proactively to keep stakeholders informed. Responsibilities Review open sales orders to determine customer requirements and establish production schedules. Coordinate the delivery and flow of materials to meet production targets and customer deadlines. Utilize ERP systems to generate, release, and monitor work orders throughout the production cycle. Collaborate with purchasing and warehouse teams to resolve material shortages or delays. Expedite supplier purchase orders as needed to maintain schedule commitments. Audit and spot?check work orders to verify material accuracy and workflow efficiency. Communicate schedule impacts or changes to Sales and Operations in a timely manner. Coordinate and expedite manufacturing builds to ensure production goals are met. Prepare and maintain reports on production progress, inventory status, and order fulfillment metrics. Exercise sound judgment within established procedures to resolve scheduling or material flow issues.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. 3+ years of experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong analytical, problem?solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across departments. Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
