Maintenance Technician Self Storage One - Multiple Self Storage Sites - Baltimore Area, MD Full-Time | On-Call Availability Required | Travel Between Properties Required

Job Overview: Apartment Services, Inc. is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support our Self Storage properties. This position is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep across multiple storage facilities. The role ensures all properties remain functional, clean, and secure for customers and staff while maintaining the overall appearance and safety of the sites.

Key Responsibilities: Maintain the interior and exterior condition of self storage buildings, drive aisles, gates, doors, lighting, and grounds. Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on unit doors, roll-ups, locks, latches, and entry systems. Ensure security systems, lighting, and access gates are in good working order; promptly report or coordinate repairs as needed. Respond to work orders and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. Complete general facility maintenance including painting, drywall repair, carpentry, and basic electrical and plumbing work. Keep grounds free of trash and debris; maintain landscaping, signage, and fencing. Perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal, salting, leaf blowing, and exterior washing. Maintain maintenance logs, inventory, and records of completed work; communicate regularly with the Site Manager regarding ongoing issues. Comply with all company policies, procedures, safety protocols, and applicable regulations. Safeguard company tools, keys, and equipment; maintain the maintenance shop in a clean and organized condition. Support additional self storage sites as needed and promote teamwork across all locations. Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance needs, responding within required timeframes. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and general building systems. Strong understanding of maintenance processes, materials, and safety practices. Ability to prioritize tasks, follow directions, and work independently or with minimal supervision. Skilled in the safe use of hand and power tools. Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills. Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience (self storage, commercial property, or facilities preferred). Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work in hot and cold environments, both indoors and outdoors. Valid driver's license is required. Use of a vehicle for the duration of each scheduled shift is mandatory. Must provide current and reliable contact information (phone and email). Required to travel between multiple storage sites as assigned. Benefits Offered:
